A Closer Look at the Founders of KabCo Kitchens, Inc.

Together the husband and wife team, Carlos and Julie have created one of the most coveted kitchen design companies in South Florida. With over 15 years in business, their keen eye for detail, dedication and passion for customer service has propelled the extraordinary growth of Kabco Kitchens, which now has three locations and is anticipating launching a fourth in the near future. To many of their longtime clients, the success has come as no surprise!

“A kitchen is such an integral part of a home and it has to really resonate with the homeowner. We understand that, and we work very hard and try to exceed our client’s expectations, every time. We live to see the reaction that our clients have when they see the finished product.” We knew from the first kitchen we completed, before we had storefronts, before KabCo Kitchens Inc. was even born, that we had something special to offer. Although Kabco Kitchens now has three beautiful showrooms in Pinecrest, Pembroke Pines, and Miami, which service all of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. For Carlos, it has been as steady climb to the top. He moved to the U.S. from Uruguay with a background in carpentry and a skill in crafting beautiful furniture.

In 2002 Carlos began working for one of the largest kitchen contractors in South Florida. “We had a contract with almost all of the Home Depot and Lowes stores from Miami to Port St. Lucy, so we had a lot of volume,” explains Carlos. Starting out as a kitchen installer, Carlos climbed up the ranks quickly and within months he was the project manager in charge of overseeing most of the South Florida operations. By the end of 2004, Carlos had gained a wealth of experience and decided to launch his own luxury kitchen design company, Kabco Kitchens, in hopes of providing better products, better service and an overall enjoyable experience. “I realized that my skill set revolved around exceptional customer service and a meticulous attention to detail. I would get excited when we had challenging and demanding projects,” explains Carlos.

Today the couple runs their business on a few simple values: quality, responsiveness, high levels of communication, flawless execution, follow up and excellence. “We take the time to listen to the client first. It’s so important to understand the client’s needs before you begin designing. We then ensure that our proposals are realistic and that we can follow through on budget and time,” says Julie. Inevitably there will always be challenges on every project, and sometimes, companies are distinguished by how they overcome those challenges. We don’t stop until the client is happy,” explains Carlos.
